Announcing...
"A Quiet Space - Suite 206"

I am opening up a new room in my office building at 6161 Busch Blvd. It is designed as a place for sharing information and promoting health and wellness. I will be hosting some of the classes, and providing a place for others to host their own meetings, workshops and classes.

I can accommodate classes and meetings in a classroom setting with training tables and chairs, or large groups on the floor with yoga pillows and cushion-backed seating.

There are sessions already scheduled, which I have highlighted below. I will be sending information on other offerings as they are scheduled. Please let me know if:

  • You are interested in reserving a place in any of the current classes
  • You have ideas for other classes or workshops that you would like to attend
  • You would like to host a class of your own on a topic in health and wellness
I look forward to hearing from you!

Mondays - Resistance Stretching 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

In this engaging weekly class, you'll use the Resistance Stretching method to strengthen while you stretch! You'll cover the 16 primary muscle groups of your body and zoom in on any problem areas you may have. Learn how to use the stretches to release your aches and pains and to take yourself to the next level of fitness.

This class is taught by Kristen Peairs, Certified Resistance Stretching Trainer, and founder of Leap Ah-ha Coaching.

Kristen first experienced Resistance Stretching in the fall of 2008 and immediately knew that this was just what she'd been looking for - a form of exercise that was engaging, relaxing, and immensely effective for the building of flexible, functional, strength. "I was already fit, but the Resistance Stretching took me to the next level. My posture has improved and my low back, knees, and shoulders are all more comfortable." said Kristen.

Nithya Yoga is the newest system of yoga out of India based on the oldest yogic texts. Nithya Yoga offers direct, rapid transformation of any person: body, mind and spirit, no matter the age or the flexibility of the body. This is because Nithya Yoga is more concerned with How you move the body rather than the movement or asana itself.

Nithya Yoga has provided individuals with greater volume of breath, lowered BP and greater flexibility as by-products of the practice. The real effects are seen in those individuals who are reporting greater clarity about who they are, about increased self-worth, and in maintaing inner peace beyond the class.

Introduction to the Alexander Technique Class Series
(call for individualized scheduling)

The Alexander Technique is a way to eliminate the functional causes of posture related body issues. Many muscular, spinal and joint issues are only as permanent as the habits that cause them. As people learn the Technique, they are surprised that they can make lasting changes in the way they walk, in their degree of muscular tension and the shape of their posture.

Using the Alexander Technique, you can learn to strip away harmful habits, heighten your self-awareness, and use your thought process to restore your original poise. Understanding more of how your body works leads you on a path of comfort and pleasure in all of your activities.

Instructor: Ann Austin is a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher. She has been in private practice since 2001.
